Would you help a friend who is being repeatedly hassled by her violent ex, knowing that your more vulnerable to a attack , and that you will forever be looking over your shoulder, so to speak

definately! I couldn't imagine if they needed my help and i did nothing being selfish and something happened to them. I would hope they would do the same for me!

What's with women beating up poor goblin, if it's not a random woman on the street it's his partner's ex, crazy.

hehehe yeh was thinking the same myself b, and of course knowing goblin's fear of violence he'd never take that risk ... but from my perspective I definitely would. smiles.

I'd go and beat up the person who was putting me at risk so that they wouldn't beat me up!

So, wait WW so you basically are saying if someone poses a danger or you think someone poses a danger to you you go and beat them up or kill them because it would be the safest solution, it would definitely make sure they won't try to kill you orbeat you up later. Isn't that just that little bit drastic. And I do realize goblin might've been talking about a girl who's boy friend was abusive but given his posts an ... well I still assume it's most likely the other way around.

hmmm pre emptive strike - nothing like it! I guess in all seriousness though it would depend on how good a friend it was ...

Well, I would I think but I don't know anyone in that position. And given goblin's previous track record i.e. a best friend turned dangerous stalker who called and left no messages and chased him down the streets of Glasgow (how he realized that is still a bit of a mystery to me) and was reported to the college professors by goblin only to become his very best friend again three days later, well, I can't really see how this threat is actually all that real.

and not forgetting goblin's own trackrecord for violence having smashed up his flat in a violent rage following an irritating programme about americans dressing up their dogs ...

Even if he was capable of killing you in the process, and would you be able to block every punch ect...its a very uneven match...do you think solving violence with violence is really a viable option, when his reaction to that beating, might be to hammer the next poor fecker who comes across him.

See, how the ignore feature causes points to be brought up multiple times, I brought this point up in my response to WW.

hehehehe yeh repetition is everything! now let's hammer those points home time, and time, and time again ...

Oh yes I would. I mean I could not do something violent, but I would do everything that words are able to do.
